Elizabeth's life has been fantastic, almost perfect, one could say. She has an amazing husband, a set of brilliant twins that are about to finish their education and a fulfilling career as a nurse. The only downside of Elizabeth's life has been the unrealistic expectations by her overly driven mother. As the kids moved on to graduate school, Elizabeth's husband Michael bought her a new yellow lab named Oliver. It's been four years since Michael brought Oliver home, and that little puppy has become a wonderful addition to the family. When Oliver began whimpering and clinging to Elizabeth, she prepared for the worst, but the vet gave him a clean bill of health. Everyone wondered why Oliver kept acting so protective. It was a call from Elizabeth's doctor that changed everything. Cancer is the true equalizer; it doesn't care about age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious belief. It was Elizabeth's faith that gave her the strength to fight. Sadly, it was that same faith that caused conflict between her and her mother.
