Wally has an uncanny ability to take his musings, even his mutterings, and bring them to life in the reader's mind to stimulate self-reflection, often with unexpected insights into one's feelings. This reflection can lead a person to seek ways to make desired or needed course corrections. Sometimes, though, Wally's musings just make you laugh and accept life as what it is-a heartwarming ramble through growth or stagnation, relationships or aloneness, and love for oneself and others. From his unrequited love of Katie and the Navajo Rug (characters in his novel in progress), to the simple awareness that one's life is like a dropped pebble in a pond that affects everything around it with its ripples, Wally indelibly captures feelings and insights common to all of us but often ignored.
