I wrote this book because it pains my heart that those of us who consider ourselves "religious or spiritual" aren't always known for our humility, but rather our vicious arrogance, competitive pride, and egocentric hostility. I firmly believe we are missing the point of pursuing God, if our pursuit of God has not led us to a more humble and loving heart. This book is divided up into four parts, each of which is imperative to cultivating a humble spirituality. In Part 1: "Timeless Identity," we deal with our timeless identity as the beloved. Often, our arrogance is the symptom of our insecurity. In Part 2: "Becoming Love," we take a closer look at the process of spiritual development, and we learn why humility is essential if we want to move past religiosity and into Godliness. In Part 3: "Empowering Relationships," we talk about the purpose of relationships and how we are to empower others through the heart of humility. In Part 4: "Heart Healing," we focus on receiving heart healing from our compassionate God. We will begin to discover and dismantle the unwanted patterns in our lives through the power of humility. The most important part of this book may be the reflection questions, so I am pleading that you take some time to work through those. The Spirit of God will meet you in a very special way as you ponder those questions in God's Presence.
