The origins of the socio-cultural divide in the Middle East began at the dawn of settlement, before the camel's domestication. Thereafter, the camel was purposely included in the Bible's dietary restrictions for reasons other than, or in addition to, hygiene or ritual purity. Written in an investigative format, using the Bible, archaeological findings, and historical references, to arrive at the conclusion...that the camel entry in Leviticus and Deuteronomy ensured exclusivity within a harassed land and dispersed people.
