Has there ever been an emotion so well suited to the rhythm of poetry as love? We are filled with a complex mélange of joy, uncertainty, resistance, surrender, caution, recklessness, doubt, and more joy. Ecstasy. Love inspires us to reach for higher goals and achieve greater things. It gives us the courage to shake the world by the tail, and overcome adversity. Love can lift us to the heavens and plunge us to the depths of despair. Mere words cannot encompass an emotion so broad. They need melody and meter, rhythm and soul, woven in and around and through them. Something magical happens when we are in love. Perhaps this is why through history artists may have been inspired by a 'muse'. The times our hearts are filled to bursting, overflowing, are the times we are most alive, most capable of, and willing to, express our inner world. The great opposing motivators; faith and fear, love and hate, will ultimately shape our destiny. I hope collectively we chose faith and love.
