Following the fallout of their previous adventures, the duo of now former Gatekeepers Chaos and Ghost try to adjust to a new period of peace for themselves. However, no one expected an attack that would result in the disappearance of one of their own, much less into the mysterious Inverse. Joining up with the Inverse researcher Alicia Deathwish, they plan a rescue expedition deep into the dimension which claimed one of their own. But what they find is more of what none of them could have ever expected.
