Riley Conway has had a difficult year. He is struggling with the abrupt loss of both parents, assuming controlling interest in the company they built and the responsibilities that come with it. He's broken. However, in service of all of the people who have loved and supported him through this tragedy he is beginning to come out of his shell; to live his life again. And then he meets Rachel. Riley cannot explain what it is about her. Sure; she is beautiful, charming, witty, kind and has awesome taste in records. But there is something more; something mysterious that she doesn't want him to know. She has secrets about who she is, where she comes from and why they are so drawn to each other. Neither Riley nor Rachel is prepared for what happens the first time they touch. With something as simple as the graze of a hand; they are able to feel the others emotions as their own. Love, hate, anger, desire, worry, heartache; everything is shared as if they were feeling it themselves. This level of intimacy intensifies their connection; it makes it all but impossible to be dishonest to the other. This puts Rachel in a position where she has no choice but to tell Riley the truth; about everything. And the world she brings him into is nothing short of miraculous; something he never would have dreamed. A world we all live in every day that is far different than we know.
