This is the story of a woman who was born in the Afrikan diaspora and found herself on a journey into another dimension. Based on the ancient spiritual traditions of the Yoruba people of Afrika, she takes her readers through her personal experiences, under the guidance of her traditionalist grandmother that shaped her life in a modern world. By reaching back to her ancient past, and influenced by a variety of current day events, and cultures, she is able to define her earthly purpose. It is a tale of spiritual empowerment that teaches us all that when we take the time to connect the dots of our personal footsteps, a clear picture emerges. Once upon a cowrie is a reflection of the Orisha known as Osun in the Ifa pantheon of the Yoruba people seen through the eyes of an Osun devotee.
