Blessings Through the Word provides brief devotionals that are clear, precise, encouraging, and uplifting. Each devotional is the result of our personal experiences and spiritual growth. Often a brief, but yet concise devotional can be read to guide you through a difficult and challenging time. Our desire is to offer a journey for those who hunger and thirst for spiritual maturity. We aim to do this by sharing the road we have traveled and the things we have learned and continue to learn as we proceed in our own journey. If we can be a blessing to someone we will also be inspired and encouraged to continue through humility and praise to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. R. J. Lightsey and Rev. Sharen K. Lightsey have been married for thirty-six years and have served together in ministry since the beginning of their marriage. They are licensed and ordained ministers and the founders of Faith and Favor Ministries, We Be Buds Marriage Educators, and Lightsey Ministries. They have taught and ministered to various groups/churches. Dr. Lightsey earned a BA in English from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Div. and Doctor of Div. from Christian Bible College and Seminary. Rev. Lightsey earned a BA in English and Psychology from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from Baker College. They also own an accounting firm: Numbers 2 Numbers Payroll, Accounting, and Tax Service. They reside in the Charlotte, NC area, have two sons and five grandchildren. Website: lightseyministries.org
