Byron was born in Danville, Virginia, in 1948. His father having enter college after serving in WWII allowed him the experience along with his older brother Billy to enjoy the college experience from a child's perspective. This created a desire to attend college as a young adult. Earning two undergraduate degrees only fueled the desire to continue into higher education where he earned to masters degrees. Serving as a denominational Church Education Director afforded Byron the opportunity to further his ministerial development in numerous seminars, and private settings with such instructors as John Maxwell, Cynthia Tobias, Florence Lattauer, and numerous other authors. Serving as a Board Member of the Mid-Atlantic Christian Education Associations added to these golden opportunities. Byron is a co-founder along with seven others, of Faith Christian Academy in Hurt Virginia. He also has served as organizing pastor of several Church Plants. He is an avid reader and researcher.
