When Chance McGovern saw his friend Sara DeVoss at a college party, he had no idea his life would change forever. Now on trial for raping Sara, Chance is fighting for his life. Defense attorney Carter Ford believes Chance's story, but is fighting an uphill battle against Assistant District Attorney Stacey Carmichael in the courtroom. The case's complications are compounded by the fact that both Chance and Sara were extremely intoxicated on the night in question, and neither have a clear recollection of what actually occurred. The police and lawyers must piece the case back together through other eye witness accounts and social media posts of the party. Ultimately, Chance's future will lie in the hands of 12 jurors who are being asked to believe his story over Sara's. On trial in the #MeToo era, Chance fears he may spend the rest of his life in prison.
