Charlotte Daulton has had her fair share of grief. From childhood sexual trauma to eventually becoming the caretaker of both her parents to combat and its aftermath, Charlotte has found poetry to be an outlet for sorting these stresses into manageable thoughts. Pieces of Me is a collection of poetry written by US Army Spc Charlotte M. Daulton, a combat-injured veteran of OIF1. This collection is based on a range of real life situations she experienced from child sexual abuse to combat to taking care of her parents to love. Most importantly, this book showcases different aspects of a survivor.
