Ava Beach Detective Jc Burdine

After a fearsome hurricane, Ava rushes to her beach to discover a world that has been turned upside down through the tumultuous wind, waves and rain. She feels overwhelmed, and calls on the ocean for advice on how to approach the beach which is unrecognizable to her now.

The Ocean tells her to be true to her beach detective badge and to do whatever she can to bring normalcy to the beach Ava assembles a posse of over 70 dogs of all kinds to help her in her quest.

Together, they search the beach, and in the process rescue a puppy who has fallen in a hole and destined to be swept to sea by the rising tide. The puppy is saved and reunited with his family and Ava's confidence in her ability as a beach detective is restored, thanks to the help of all of her friends in the posse.

Note: Ava Beach Detective is a fund raising book with a back story and mission to help rescue and rehabilitate puppy mill dogs. Over 70 beloved dogs in the book appear courtesy of their owners who generously supported two key charities: Chicago French Bulldog Rescue and Dog Ranch Rescue in Anna, Texas.
