Gordon D Shirreffs

Rio Bravo and Bugles On The Prairie: Two Full Length Western Novels Gordon D Shirreffs

Gear up for another action-packed series of adventures in this classic western double by Gordon D. Shirreffs.

In Rio Bravo, Lieutenant Niles Ord, U. S. Calvary, brings to bear his troop of seasoned soldiers in order to rescue two women being used as pawns in a war for frontier supremacy. The indomitable Apache chief Asesino, known as the Assassin, is planning a master stroke against the White Eyes. Ord and company wade into the battlefield, the jungle of rock beyond the Rio Bravo, with a single mission in mind: eliminate Asesino-or go down fighting.

In Bugles on the Prairie, Ross Fletcher is a man determined to avenge the death of his brother and reclaim his family's fortune, no matter how high the odds are stacked against him. He's honed his wits and speed in lawless towns from Santa Fe to Calaveras County, but will it be enough to outwit the great war chief Cochise, avert an ambush with brutally lethal consequences, and save a stunningly beautiful woman being held captive somewhere under the searing Arizona sun?

"If you're a fan of tough-minded Westerns, I highly recommend it and just about anything else by Gordon D. Shirreffs." -James Reasoner, author of Rattler's Law
