Kathy Stitz has been a Registered Nurse for over forty years. She has been employed in numerous specialties throughout her nursing career, from obstetrics during her tour of duty in the Air Force, to education, infection control, administration, and surgical services. Her major love has always been patient education. She has written on the subject for nursing magazines and spoken at several nursing conferences. Kathy is married and lives with her husband JD near Seattle, Washington. She has recently retired and is in the process of writing a series of books to prepare children for having surgery.
