Through the story of Little Quail, who is based off her son, Katie shares the lessons she learned--we are precious to God, and because He is always with us, we are never truly alone. Included in the book are many Scripture references parents can read with their children to teach them how much God loves us! Katie Nelson and Shelly Strand live in north central Nebraska. Katie works as an agronomist, and enjoys spending time with her children and her Brittany Spaniel, Snoopy. She has been writing for the last 10 years, and is only now beginning to publish her works as the Lord leads her. Shelly and her husband have 2 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats, some lambs, and possibly a turtle hidden under their couch! This fun home life has inspired Shelly's creativity and love of art. She also works as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. Both women are members of Faith Christian Fellowship church in Long Pine.
