In this collection of poetry, Christopher's subject is the depth to which an individual consciously surrenders their physical, emotional and spiritual power. Spoken from the androgynous first person point of view, the imagined voice interrogates itself as it willingly follows another's direction out of passion, obligation and curiosity. This voice, this poetry, questions and accepts the salvation and devastation that encompasses a lifestyle of voluntary servitude.
