The trafficking, abuse, and addiction to illicit drugs have reached pandemic proportions, destroying many inner-city neighborhoods. Law-abiding citizens have locked themselves behind steel doors and barred windows. Open-air illicit drug markets are fueling the growth of violent street gangs and murders. National law enforcement agencies make thousands of illicit drug-related arrests daily. Countless narcotics, cocaine, and alcoholics anonymous self-help meetings are held every day. However, the actions of these groups have done little to eliminate or curtail the trafficking and abuse of illicit drugs. The term ?war on drugs? announced a campaign by the United States government to stop the flow of drugs into the country. In the first eight months of this year, the federal and state governments have spent $32 billion unsuccessfully fighting that war. 1 The forces that drive this pandemic are evil; they are demonic in nature. Therefore, this spiritual war can only be won with spiritual weapons!
