Mark Button and his wife eagerly await the birth of their first child — or rather, children, as Ronnie is pregnant with triplets. However, Mark's hopes and dreams are dashed in one horrible moment, when — on Mother's Day — Ronnie tragically dies without warning. Then Mark meets Diane, and in time they build a new life together — never forgetting how precious and delicate life can be.
