This lighthearted and spirited work seems uncharacteristic of this serious sacred German composer. It is an ideal piece for two trumpets and keyboard because of the light articulated scale passages and interesting contrapuntal lines. This piece was originally for two female voices and, in this arrangement, it has been left in the original key of B-flat which makes it a very successful new work for b-flat trumpets.
