Roak E. Howl is as handsome as he is screwed if he doesn't find his childhood friend Winsor Light. Next in line to inherit the role as head of the Howl family, Roak needs money. That is, unless he wishes to spend the rest of his days producing and raising heirs to carry on the Howl name. Roak has no desire to bed any woman, let alone the same one for the rest of his life. He would much rather spend his days leisurely, gluttonously feeding his insatiable sex drive in the arms and beds of other men. Strapped for time he sets out on a mission to find Winsor Light, who long ago stole from Roak something that could now fetch him a small fortune. However, Winsor Light is no longer the unassuming child from Roak's childhood, but a ruggedly handsome adult who has no desire to turn over the object Roak has traveled so far to retrieve. In an unlikely turn of events Roak soon finds the man accompanying him on his trip. A trip that will take an unexpected course and not end in any way Roak ever imagined it would.
