Remnants of the Ancients is a collection of stories, poetry, and other no-stuff which straddles the boundaries between humor, drama and philosophical/religious diatribe. The works range in topic from personal non-fiction ("Debone," "Some Indulgence You'll Just Have to Read Through") to speculative fantasy ("Cookboy," "Tenmaki Descent"), all book-ended by the quasi-realism novella, "Ascetics Like Us." The poetry is also diverse in scope and form ("A Good Wife," "Synthesis Capacity," "Of the Moral Obligations of an Omnipotent Deity," etc.).
