You've been saving for retirement for years, and sometimes even decades, but have you ever stopped to wonder how you transition from earning a paycheck to living on your assets? The focus for many people is on accumulating money for their retirement in the distant future. However, when you reach retirement, the future becomes the present. When this time comes, you can no longer focus on accumulating money for the future. Your focus has to necessarily switch to how you will utilize the money you have to support your lifestyle for the rest of your life. In this book, I set out to share my thoughts on helping people with retirement planning, and to help them understand that it is okay to use their money. We realize people don't save money just to have money. They save money to use money. So, many of the designs and strategies with which we help clients are utilization strategies.
