Blurring the lines between cultural theory, music criticism, literature and surrealism, Anthony H. Wolfstadt and his faithful companion Turgut Reis struggle to adjust to life on the English south coast after being deported from Istanbul in the mid Noughties for visa issues. Through their trials and tribulations, they finally opened a music and arts venue - The Octopus (colloquially also known as 'The Starfish' and 'The Seafish') - in the conservative, traditional coastal backwater of Brougham, Sussex.
