Cuba in Pictures Francis Adel

This photo book shows the pictures of the places of interest and other major tourist attractions in Camagüey, the third largest city in Cuba. Brief information and history of Camagüey, formerly known as Santa María de Puerto Príncipe, was also provided to help readers appreciate the context of the pictures. The pictures shown in the book were taken in 2008, about 7 years before the recent thawing of relations between Cuba and USA. Hence, it is hoped that it would provide a good visual representation of the conditions of the important and historic buildings and other places of interest, at the time the pictures were taken. The pictures include that of notable places of interest in the city such as Plaza Trabajadores, Parque Agramonte, Plaza San Juan de Dios, Plaza Carmen, Casino Campestre, and Plaza de la Revolucion. Pictures of the popular cathedrals in Camaguey including Camaguey Cathedral, Iglesia Merced, San Juan de Dios Cathedral, Merced Cathedral, Soledad Cathedral, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral were also shown. The photo book is the third in the series of five volumes which are: Cuba in Pictures: Havana; Cuba in Pictures: Santiago de Cuba; Cuba in Pictures: Camagüey; Cuba in Pictures: Viñales & Varadero; and Cuba in Pictures: Cienfuegos, Trinidad & Guanayara.
