A young stranger, Zoe, finds herself on the doorstep of Dr. Adolf M. Asclepius. She hands him a silver shekel as token payment. Dolf's father, Aubrey, in his will told of her coming and of great wealth left for her analysis and well-being. To get his hands on the money, Dolf takes her in and gets more than he bargained for. The framework on which this book was built is four symbolic systems: an ancient Irish tree alphabet, the Tarot, the Hebrew alphabet, and runes.
