The One Word devotional series takes a single word or topic from a passage of Scripture and provides a series of exegetical thoughts based on that concept. In his second letter, the apostle Peter makes a point of putting his readers in mind of certain beliefs essential to the Christian life. His express intention is "to stir you up by way of reminder... so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things" (2 Peter 1:13, 15). The reminders directed at Peter's original readers are likewise necessary to modern believers. This devotional book presents supplementary readings as well as explanatory thoughts intended to enrich the Bible student's reading of 2 Peter.
