Mickey Carter Is dead! It seems he's been dead for over forty years. The only problem for Mickey is that no bugger told him he was dead! Having lived a life (literally) of petty crime, he died in his early twenties when he got a belt from a burglar alarm he was trying to cross wire. He now has to earn his angel wings by doing good things. Unfortunately, Mick's idea of doing good always seems to involve using some of the habits he acquired in his previous life with usually undesired results. Claire is another Trainee angel who gets lumbered with Mickey and between them they stumble forward while awaiting their appointment with the Angel review board. It's funny and touching and there's a bit of a romance brewing that neither of them realise until it's almost too late
