Hearing there was hope in a town called Assisi, Graziella, her younger sister, and her parents made their way there and were hidden by the monks in a monastery. Thanks to good Christians who were willing to risk their own lives for the sake of doing what was right, Graziella's entire family survived this horrible period of history. Author Nicola Dalla Torre does a wonderful job telling Graziella's story for children of all ages. He wrote this book with the intent of keeping Graziella's true story alive for generations to come.
