Crossbow Junction is a story that takes place at a time when the Arizona Rangers were disbanded due to funding. However, a few who remain in the Army at Fort Bowie were called from time to time to help solve problems that needed special skilled men, such as the Rangers to help bring in the fugitives to justice. Arizona Marshall Mc Donald is assigned the task of finding a Silver Creek Sheriff who disappeared. He enlisted the help of an Arizona Ranger and they both discovered a plot that if not stopped could change the outcome of the history of the United States
