Chick Pea was not feeling well, so she and the other chicks with their coop pets went to see the chick veterinarian, Dakota. The diagnosis was cancer, and Pea was advised to undergo a combination of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Her friends and family arranged for home schooling so that she would not fall behind her class. They made her round faces on sticks with different moods so that Pea could express her emotions during the treatments. This story tells how the chicks supported her during treatment as an inspiration to other patients. At the end of the story, Pea was cancer free, attended her graduation, and thanks to home schooling, ready to enter fifth grade.
