The author has studied the situations that got you in trouble and caused you to be poor and maybe even homeless. Granted there were conditions you could not control like health and family issues and the simple unfairness of life. You can guard against some of the devastating things about to befall you, but not all of them. These short and to the point chapters are a composite from an old grandfather who can say "been there done that." When you get advice are you willing and able to take it? The author removed all of the bleeding heart stuff, and allowed you to make adjustments without a need for excuses.
