I wrote this book to tell the story for my mother, who is deceased and was never able to tell the story herself because it was a family tragedy that was not talked about. We all suffered because that elephant was always in the room, but no one had the courage to speak about it till this day. There are family members who only have rumors and partial truths of what took place on October 23 and 24, 1965.
