The penetrating, twice repeated sound of a gong reverberated throughout the Magic Ether. Within the bole of the old tree, Ba El Shebub's slumbering spirit awoke with a start. To the spirit, it seemed as if the "Magic", created to save mankind from itself, had awakened and chosen its two wielders just moments ago.
