Laura Gordon is determined to further her education because she wants to pursue a job that she loves and that would allow her to travel. Since her boyfriend doesn't see the future the same way she does, she leaves him and moves to Florida to enroll in a university where she can obtain her Master's degree. Before she can embark on advancing her education, her life begins to spin out of control. In addition to relocating to a new state, she becomes entangled with kidnappings, meeting new people, and she becomes involved in a mysterious quandary including encountering family members who she never knew existed and more money than she's ever seen in her life! And, as if all of that wasn't enough, she meets a man, and even though she doesn't believe in love at first sight, she is drawn to him from their very first meeting!
