I write this story as a form of closure as well as an opening to a new door. I want to use my experiences as a learning tool for others and a reminder to myself that I am a strong woman. I want others of all ages to realize they are not alone. We have the power to create the life we want. We just have to believe. I went from victim to victor, now a voice! Use my words as a brief look into my world. Who would've thought that through low self-esteem, sexual assault, abusive relationships, divorce, and many other trials, I would like what I see when I look in the mirror?
