Roman Numbers Charles Dashiell

The purpose of the book titled "Roman Numbers" is to allow children from kindergarten through fifth grade to increase their number sense and to better understand how the Roman numbers work. Thinking about numbers in different ways may also help the children form connections or see patterns. The writing of a number as a Roman number is just another way to show that various forms can look different, but be equal. Roman numbers will allow the children to reinforce addition and subtraction skills; because reading Roman numbers often requires adding or subtracting the values written together, this will give children addition and subtraction practice, as well as a chance to work on their mental math skills.
