There many ways to elevate yourself if you choose. Perhaps the question one should ask is, why would you ever give up all that you have for something so remote, so unknown and something that is obviously a drastic attempt at salvation from what may turn out to be yourself? We always seek answers outside ourselves and eventually go full circle only to wind up three hundred sixty degrees from where we started, looking back at the unchanged force that we left. What drives us to leave, and what is it that brings us back full circle? Martial arts in general and Taiji in particular have always been considered a window on enlightenment. The ancient mind sits in the stillness waiting for the uncommon stirring of a mind dissatisfied, and in search of whatever is calling for this unsettled mind.
