It was his first day on the job; the paramedic panicked. "Her heart stopped again." Controlling the crisis from the driver's seat, "Jerry, take a deep breath before I have two-code blues. We're a few minutes from ER. Are you sure she's not breathing?" There was silence for a moment. "Doug, I know when someone is dead. You really have to see this for yourself. She's sitting up and talking to someone. The woman has no vital signs. She's dead." There are consequences when you get a second chance to live. It's called a gift but those who come back; they know it's a curse.
