When Heather Shepherd discovers that the Hillside Annual Bake-Off has been canceled, she's frustrated - she already had her newest batch of donuts prepared to wow the judges. But that frustration dissolves when she finds out the reason for the postponement: a Hillside reporter has been murdered on the night before the televised competition's start. Heather decides she has to solve the case, and bustles into another murder mystery, equipped with her thirst for the truth, encouragement from all her friends at Donut Delights, and, as always, a box of her newest creation: Double Chocolate Pistachio Donuts. As always, the truth is difficult to find, thanks to a jealous best friend, a long-suffering boss, and a man, who seems to disappear at will. Heather has to figure this one out before the killer strikes again, or the Hillside Ultimate Bake-off will never reach TV.
