In a divided world, where religion and sexuality are often seen as opposed, Scottish LGBT activists are committed to working in harmony with Catholics. 'Time for Inclusive Education' is a LGBT-focused initiative seeking to reduce bullying in schools and enable curricular education to become more inclusive. Scottish Catholic state schools are often criticised for their failure to provide a safe and supportive community for LGBT pupils, with the threat voiced by some Members of the Scottish Parliament that if they continue to fail in their Duty to Care then the demand that their funding be withdrawn may grow. Reviewing 'Amoris Laetitia' / 'The Joy of Love' (the latest encyclical from Pope Francis) this booklet finds continuity in traditional Catholic social teaching with this humanitarian enterprise and in Hebrew and Greek sacred scripture a spirituality of joyful intimate love and the affirmation that human beings are created in the image of God which transcends all rigid concepts of gender.
