Roxanne Jamison was born with exceptional musical talent that she knew was a gift from God. She was not yet an adult when she fled a dysfunctional family, plagued by alcoholism, adultery and divorce, to seek a new life in the world of the Memphis music scene. As she struggles to find her place on Beale Street, she encounters a colorful array of mentors that provide the guidance she sought. But her faith has as much influence on them as they have on her, as she leads them to sobriety and then to God. But when they were on the brink of success, in large part because of her, tragedy struck when she suddenly disappeared after being seen with a strange man. They searched high and low for their spiritual leader, never finding any sign that she ever existed but The Buck Myers Band would benefit greatly from having briefly known a girl they knew as Roxie James. Their love and faith would help them to overcome the grief and God would lead them all to a purposeful life.
