Know Your Spirit Maryse Mcguirk Goebel

This slim volume introduces the basics of spirituality and explains how and why you can believe in a spiritual afterlife. Based on solid research, it explains that we are all made of energy, and while energy can change, it never dies. Written in a warm kitchen-table-chat style, Maryse McGuirk Goebel, an admitted skeptic, makes spirituality easy for newcomers to understand and believe. Written without religious bias or ideas of fantasy, it is meant to eliminate the fear of dying for people of all beliefs including atheism. It answers questions about your pets and their spirits and how you will be reunited on the other side along with your loved ones. Raised in a haunted house in London, England, Maryse has always been aware of how spirit feels. She includes anecdotes of spiritual encounters so you will know that you are not alone in your experiences. Included is a Question and Answer section that addresses some of those areas where you may have questions but were afraid to ask for fear of looking silly. There is also a Glossary of common spiritual terms and words so you can get most of the answers in one place. This little book is a great jumping off point for those interested in spirituality but didn't know where to start. With a background in nursing and psychology, Maryse McGuirk Goebel is no stranger to research having taken many classes in research in both undergraduate and graduate school. When she couldn't find an unbiased book on spirituality that was based on scientific research and proof, she decided to write one herself. The result is a warm introduction to the basics of spirituality aimed at eliminating fears of death and encouraging spiritual growth.
