Dawn of Desire P D Musso

Never underestimate the power of desire! Hunter Stephanie Dawn came from another dimension as an infant and was raised to be the ultimate weapon against a growing population of demons bent on the destruction and consumption of everything in their path. Destined to fight alone, Stephanie encounters a ragtag group of demon hunters who find their own ways to kill the demons that the Hunter Program neglects. Confused by the romantic intentions she feels from Brett Anderson, their lead hunter, and insecure of her feelings for San Francisco Inspector Todd Rainer, she doesn't know how to find her soul mate in this world or why she's suffering debilitating waves of nausea that might get her killed during a fight. While Stephanie hunts demons, Todd tracks another type of evil - a killer, spurred by his own desires, who leaves bodies posed on playgrounds and taunts police with his self-righteous indignation. Just as Stephanie identifies her soul mate, she might pay the ultimate price for someone else's desire.
