HURRAY FOR VALLEY is a story of brotherhood. They were called hillbillies, and white trash. Food was scarce. Clothes were well worn and thread bare. Home was little more than a shack. Epidemics struck with vicious results. Labor was cheap as jobs were hard to find. They were survivors. Six brothers fought, played and worked together during this harsh period of existence. Grit, brotherhood and an obligation to the family gave them the tools in which to battle the brutality of Great Depression. Despite the meager existence they found time for friendship, compassion and adventure. Their possessions were few. Yet, they found ways to enjoy the pleasures of being young. Throughout their young lives they learned how to make the best times.
