April Gadden just finished her four years at Marquette University in Wisconsin and returned home to Udell, Iowa, to be with her grandparents, Sam and Ellen. Now she was ready to enter the real world and begin her life as she had planned. Her papa, Reverend John Gadden, passed away twelve years ago, losing his fight with cancer. Even though April could still remember many of his sermons he gave, there was one lesson he told her that has continued to stay in her mind. 'If you want to hear God laugh, tell him what your plans for the future are. I can pretty much assure you it won't be anything like what He has planned.' His words proved to be true when she received a letter from Princeton, Kentucky, a few days after coming home. Papa prepared a future for April, making sure she would be taken care of after his passing. Does her future lie in the small town of Udell, or in the larger town of Princeton? And what about the strange meeting of a friend of hers, Tim McElvaney? Is it in God's plans for April and Time to be together? Only time will tell.
