This is the fifth in the Crooner series. Morey Ames, aka, The Crooner, is on a mini tour in Florida. His wife, Sally, is along with him. There has been a kidnapping of a major hotel owner, with a ransom of one million dollars demanded by the kidnappers. Sally is sitting in a café, and overhears a conversation by two men sitting right near to her. Of course, she gets herself involved in solving this crime, this time, with her friend Lizzy, who reluctantly goes along with her.
