The purpose of this research piece is to conduct an attitudinal survey on Edge Hill University students and to use them as a proportional representative sample for finding out the influential factors behind self-employment and other career path choices. It aims to compare and contrast the various reasons behind self-employment, large organisational employment and Small medium size enterprise employment, using the theory of planned behaviour and developing a model of analysing the main influential factors.
