The Northwest Lighthouse Coloring Collection is more than just a coloring book. The light that shown across the waters was created from an oil lamp, inside a huge lens, whose wick had to be trimmed and the lantern glass cleaned daily. The work of a lighthouse keeper was both labor intensive and time consuming. There were many sailors dependent on their attention to duty.
