When Heather Shepherd realizes that her secret donut recipe book has been stolen, she knows exactly who's behind it. Until she turns up at Geoff Lawless' new store and finds the thief, Jelly Polinski, dead on the floor. She's stunned and suspicious but has to back off because she's one of the prime suspects in this new, murder case. Heather won't take this lying down - she decides to investigate, sprinkling her friends and dog pal, Dave, into the mixture, treading where no intrepid baker has dared to tread before.
